@endtimeschurchdecpt I think we hold different views of Apocalyptic prophecies. It's pretty clear you hold to a literal interpretation of numbers. I would hold to a figurative interpretation. I wouldn't say there are a literal 144,000, just a lot people that will be saved. Also, I would interpret Zech 1:12 as to be talking about the same 70 years in Daniel 9 that were from the start of the exile to the end of the exile.

After Rome we'll likely have a Revised Roman Empire followed by the Union of 10 Kings with Antichrist. Many of those 10 Kings will likely come from Muslim countries. The 8th Kingdom is that of Antichrist himself.

I'm not calling America any of the 8 world empires from Daniel's perspective. These individual empires must control the Holy Land. Calling America the "Western Coastlands" of Dan.11 does not say America is a world empire- we will decrease

Israel is now a nation, which is required before the "end times" are to unfold. Israel is symbolic for the fig tree mentioned in Matt. 24. It is a mature nation or plant, but has not born fruit until the 144,000 come forward.

Zech.1:12+7:4 have 70 year prophecies that relate to both the Babylonian exile and the time before Christ Returns (Zech. 1:17+ 8:3).

The 1st Babylonian exile was due to not resting the land every 7 years. I suspect the final 70 yrs could start 1948+7.

@endtimeschurchdecpt Also, how can you say we're in the end times for sure? Yes the things that Jesus said were warning signs are happening today, but they have been happening throughout history. There have always been wars, especially in the Middle East. There have always been earthquakes, mostly along fault lines, and earthquakes remain mostly around fault lines today.

@endtimeschurchdecpt Yes, Rome was the military super power at that time, but before them was Greece, and before them Persia. They are in the prophecy... But what about the empires after Rome? Why choose America just because we are the strongest at this moment? what about the Germans, French, British, Turkish, Spanish, heck why not the Mongolian empires before us? Look at history and know that we were not the next super power after Rome.

The Roman Empire was the military superpower to the West of the Holy Land in times past, when Antiochus Epiphanes was around.

Most would agree that the U.S. is the military superpower of today. We are cretainly West of the Holy Land. We are definitely greatly influencing the Middle East of today.

Most would agree we are in the "end times". Why would God now remove a country that has had the greatest influence for Christ worldwide throughout history? (apostate

but a remnant).

@endtimeschurchdecpt You're right that Antiochus Epiphanes and the like were not specifically mentioned in Daniel. However, from history we can make those connections. I doubt Daniel himself knew who the 4 beasts were symbols for, just that 4 kingdoms would control Israel in the future. Therefore, I still cannot see how you can make the enormous leap that Daniel's prophecy is talking about modern America, or America at all for that matter.
