@abagwellministries Thank you very much for your response, I will check the scriptures you noted. I didn't realize forgiveness was a one way street. Nicely put. I will work on forgiveness! God Bless you, I will keep you posted. Have a great day

Thank you, I needed to hear this. The other day I was walking my dog, and I closed my eyes and basically felt like I was taken over by the holy spirit. The words that came over my mind over and over were "love your enemies" out of no where. Does this mean I have to contact all people that hurt me or just send love and prayers - and when I see them be nice. Am I to go out of my way to find them - or pray. I went to court today to meet face to face with someone who robbed my home. Knowing
That the holy spirit wants to teach me to love my enemies, I was prepared to feel love rather than hatred or fear of them. For the fourth time, this man did not show up to court. A rumor was that he had liver cancer, so right away I was thinking I would drop the case. His own lawyer said, he wasn't sure that was true, that he was delaying going to jail and that he was a con artist. I was considering dropping the case, is it right to let a thief go who will do this again to support drinking?

@Lorelle1020 Hello! Thank you for your comments! First of all, I believe that you do not have to contact ALL people that have hurt you and that you can give forgiveness through love and prayer. Forgiveness is a one way street while reconciliation is a 2 way street. You can't reconcile with everyone but should try 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 ... The key is that we do what God is leading us to do in our heart and making sure that decision aligns with the Word of God - Bless You!!! Keep me posted!
