the tea party is in reference to when the americans broke away from england because of the huge taxes they sunk a ship full of tea costing a vast sum of money learn some history.

If U look at the post date of april 2009 (over 2 1/2 years ago) U could see that the Tea party was still in it's infancy, this was actually the first tea party protest ever in NYC. What do U smell now? Originality? ingenuity? bravery? patriotism? what about envy? Embarrassment? Remorse? should I keep going?

Some times people race you to prove how stupid their own BS is. It wasn't the taxes, it was the lack of representation in the government that was charging them. This sad recitation and indecipherable sorry little insult at the end don't change how comically wrong you were about the Boston Tea Party and what the point of it was and what they actually did.

Try learning the whole story next time. You won't come off like you came off.

@tim0090 The US didn't break away from England over huge taxes. The taxes were quite low by any standard, much lower than what people in England paid. It was because we had no representation in the British government.

They didn't sink a boat. They through the tea in the harbor, and it was years before we broke away from England.

There was a lot more that needed to be said, and now that you know how comically inaccurate your appraisal of history is, you might reconsider your politics as well.
