I'm english and I know its a stereotype that english people drink a lot of tea, but tbh, in most cases, its true lol I'm drinking one right now

I find it a bit strange that the interviewer had to act ever so slightly obtuse to frustrate the tea-baggers. If those people are as idiotic as they apparently are, that shouldn't be necessary.

"haven't given my political stand point moron!"
Some times people race you to prove how stupid their own BS is. It wasn't the taxes, it was the lack of representation in the government that was charging them. This sad recitation and indecipherable sorry little insult at the end don't change how comically wrong you were about the Boston Tea Party and what the point of it was and what they actually did.
Try learning the whole story next time. You won't come off like you came off.

@monokhem this is the last message! boston tea party December 16, 1773 - July 1776 Declaration of Independence.
In 1767, the Parliament passed the Townshend Acts, which placed a tax on a number of essential goods including paper, glass, and tea. Angered at the tax increases, colonists organized a boycott of British goods
The Stamp Act 1765 was a direct tax imposed by the British Parliament specifically on the colonies of British America.
haven't given my political stand point moron!

I love how you ask him straight up " so how is that relevant today?" and bam.. awkward silence.

@tim0090 The US didn't break away from England over huge taxes. The taxes were quite low by any standard, much lower than what people in England paid. It was because we had no representation in the British government.
They didn't sink a boat. They through the tea in the harbor, and it was years before we broke away from England.
There was a lot more that needed to be said, and now that you know how comically inaccurate your appraisal of history is, you might reconsider your politics as well.

@monokhem nope nothing else need to be said!

@tim0090 It's been a month. Have you learned to be freakishly ashamed of this post yet? or do you still think it's correct?

It's not "my" group and if you don't think "The Tea Party" is an appropriate name for a grassroots movement to lower taxes, you're a moron.
the dude in the video is a fucking moron not the people he was talking to and he's manipulated it to look like somthing else!!!
the tea party is in reference to when the americans broke away from england because of the huge taxes they sunk a ship full of tea costing a vast sum of money learn some history.

@reportingsatire, why are you asking for credit for something that's already been done. You even stamped a Daily show/Colbert in your title.... I smell a HACK! I like the effort, but get original.

@ddelp10 reportingsatire appreciates Ur interest and support. Ur comments and the comments of all our other fans is credit enough, we would never dare to ask for any more credit than that. If U look at the post date of april 2009 (over 2 1/2 years ago) U could see that the Tea party was still in it's infancy, this was actually the first tea party protest ever in NYC. What do U smell now? Originality? ingenuity? bravery? patriotism? what about envy? Embarrassment? Remorse? should I keep going?
