This version of "Sorry" was recorded at The Harp Hotel, Albrighton, Shropshire, England on Sunday, August 5th. 2007 by Richard Leach's ClubHouse Five.
Playing this Bix Beiderbecke number were Richard on trombone, Gordon Whitworth on cornet, Chris Pearce on clarinet and saxes, Len Thwaites on bass and Brian Mellor on banjo.
This was just a small part of a brilliant Sunday lunchtime session from five superb musicians.

Sessions at the Harp are held every Sunday lunchtime and Tuesday evening. Details from John or Marie Howell on 01902 756158

  • Hello Gordon,

If can read this, then you have worked out how to view YouTube!

    Try other great old jazzmen.

  • A highly commendable rendition of my favourite Bix number.

Well done, guys. I'll make a point of dropping into the Harp if down Shropshire way.

  • i went to Bude Jazz Festival earlia 2day and ther was 'Malcolm Hogarth' playing the keyboard on his own. i'd never met the guy but i asked if i cud join him on my flute + he agreed! as i was playing a lady joined in on the double bass + then a man joined in on the trumpet. after playin for 2 hours i left and Gordan Whitworth (the guy on the trumpet) shook my hand + introduced himself!!
