What's good? Jus' wonderin' which tribe you be, my kohkom taught my mom how to make a short bow out of Saskatoon branches n red willow for the arrow shafts, when I make that lil bow I'm a be movin' onto some hardcore shit ya know, nways Cree rep from canada

Thats awesome. I wanna make one as well but I will have to use some Juniper or yew or maybe even some lodgepole pine. A sinew backed bow made of yew can be very lethal. A Northern California Native tribe ( The Hupa) could kill game up to 50 to 75 yards and would inflict a serious wound at 100 yards! But at 50 yards the arrows would penetrate a deer 5 or 10 inches. Cool stuff huh...thanks for sharing

Yes arrow are always harder, bad arrows shoot lousy with a good bow but good arrows shoot well.
I have several dowls that i plan to use and an an old saw i plann to make arrows from and of course i have the bone and copper pipe arrowgheads i made last year. Will make a shooting video soon. Thanks
good video... i have a question though....i have a red elm stave that im thinking about making into a bow... would i have to follow the growth rings like on osage or just shave it into shape?
