  • @gameshop101 depends on what type of industry you draw for. It also depends on whether or not you simply draft, but design as well.

    Mechanical Designers make more than drafters because they actually design the componants to fit the dimensions and tolerances, not just draw blueprints.

    The pay is decided based on what type of industry you work for. Architectual is the lowest, and medical and aerospace is the highest., although there are plenty of ither industries you could get into.

  • This is a good video that shows the aspects of the job, but it is seriously dated.

  • How much does a drafter make when they start working? How much can they make? I heard the starting is around $20,000 a year a year approximately and the most they can make is $75,000 a year. I don't know if those numbers are right.
