DUTCH TILDERS the Godfather of Australian Blues is going on a journey. Dutch has been performing his authentic blues style for over fifty years has just recently been diagnosed with cancer but in his true blues spirit will fight on until he regains full good health. Dutch is being treated for cancer of the esophagus and liver with radiotherapy and chemotherapy but is still performing live shows where possible. The Dutch Tilders Cancer Benefit Concert will be held on Thursday 29th July at The Thornbury Theatre, 859 High Street, Thornbury, with the doors opening at 6.30pm for Dinner & Show $75 +bf or Show Only $35 +bf.
Dutch's fellow musicians wish to support him and though many more offered this will be the lineup appearing at the event:
Dutch and his All Stars Blues Band with guest artists Chain, Kevin Borich, Chris Finnen, Stevie Wright & James Southwell, Ken 'Moosh' McColm. Jeannie Lushes, Mick 'The Rev' O'Connor, Broderick Smith, Winston Galea, John Annas, Lloyd Spiegel, Martin Cooper, Peter Beulke, Glen Suckling, Stephen Russell, Stevie Page, Suzanne Petersen, Greg Dodd, Chris White, Billy Kavanagh & Barney G plus more.
New EP & Video Release: recorded and filmed at Studio 52 thanks to Empire Records will be released for this benefit with new song "The Journey" and "The Blues Has Been My Life".
