2nd place winner of VMware Fusion video contest

(This is the nerdiest video I've ever made, and yet, for some reason, the most popular of my videos on YouTube.)

I'm a happy new Mac convert, and for a while I thought I could get by without Windows, but I miss programs like Adobe Audition, and it's nice to have access to Windows sometimes. Boot Camp is a cool idea, but it almost messed up my drive, and who wants to reboot just to run Internet Explorer? I'm glad I switched to VMware Fusion. It was the easiest Windows install I've ever done, and the performance is great. I also love the near-seamless integration of my Windows apps into the Mac OS. Really cool piece of software!

  • im pretty sure i use hp or windows maybe i dunno but umm i wanna get a mac is it hard to switch or dont bother.. cos macs r like really pretty n i want 1 r they hard 2 use?...

  • @sharnice212, Macs operate differently than PCs, so it will take some getting used to, but Macs are easy to learn - very natural to use. Only downside: they're expensive.

  • So much of that is speeded up. Its better to install Mac on a pc

  • @Kiwibro92, Yep. 1-minute video. Required editing.

  • what if I dont have a windows disk??

  • @l15596, VMWare is software that facilitates running other operating systems from inside your Mac operating system. You still need to own another operating system, though. So if you want to run Windows, you need to get a disc to install it.

  • lol, why does he use internet explorer, the worst browser ever on pc or mac... use firefox lol

  • I have a DELL , and HP PC both are running Linux , and Windows... As everyone knows they make VMware Fusion for Windows & Linux, Parallels Desktop for Windows & Linux, or use Virtualbox it's free, and they have it for Mac, Windows, and Linux ... So tell me again why anyone needs a Mac , I mean is final cut the only software Mac has to offer ? This seem a bit pointless to buy a Mac for just one program, and turn around and just use Windows for every thing... Linux plus Windows 4life!!!

  • DONT USE BOOTCAMP AND PARTITION YOUR HARDRIVE. IT FRIED MINE ENTIRELY A YEAR LATER.

  • <derp. He uses it cause he was talking about web development... Its still a highly used browser and any dev would be pants on head retarded not to make their content compatible and available across all browsers. </derp

  • @shinydimepoductions Being a PC guy: I agree one hundred percent.

  • because he doesn't want to be going on his laptop in starbucks when some prick hacks his computer and uses firesheep to hack onto his facebook acount then changing the password then charge the guy 300 bones for the new password taking advantage of a poor helpless mentaly chalanged person thats why XD

  • Windows emulators are garbage. Boot Camp is the only legitimate way to run Windows on a Mac.

  • vmware ftw

  • @Kiwibro92 No, as far as speed/stability goes, it's not.
