Did they say the brown acid or the green? The brown or green??? I can't remember which one it was. Brown or green?!?!?brown or greeeeeeeeeeennn??!?!?!? Oh no I think it was brooooown ooogodooo I toook thaaaabrowwwwwwnnngreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnn..............................nobrowwwwwweeeeeeeennnnnnnnthasmaaawwwllloffffffffthaaabrooowwwwwwnnnnnngrin.
But where's Janis? I liked Apocolipta better, ELO was pretty good too. This is good, but no Janis sort of disappoints. This was my era. Big Brother and the Holding Company did a good job though, in the time of Hendrix and Jefferson Airplane.
This should not be billed as Janis Joplin, considering she's not a part of this at all. That said, great version. SRC also did a pretty serious version of In The Hall Of The Mountain King on their Milestones LP in 1969.
Started off more like the song, but all of the middle is sort of lost to me. Sounds nice, but I can't really hear any of the classical theme coming thru. Sort of like Hendrix and the Star Spangled Banner. Maybe just a product of the time?

This is freakin' amazing! No Janis but this is so trippy, it's everything psychodelia meant to me back in 11th grade when this was happening.
