christmas light train display

This light display was created in 1995 using only the (then popular) motion lights. Three
panels of 4 x 8 pegboard were put together side by side and supported on top of a fence
that was between two neighboring houses. Each string of lights were made up of four
strands which took a lot of time to untwist and then each light bulb was poked into a hole
in the pegboard to make the design. Some additional holes had to be drilled to make it
look right. It also took a lot of work to secure the whole display to protect it against any
wind that might come along.
