A Change In Me from Beauty & The Beast

Hello YouTube!

So I decided that I'd test out my new camera by singing ONE of my favourite Disney songs and I'm feeling the Disney love because it is a theme for one of my freshers events at The Trinity College of Music. Less than a month before I start!

So about this song...I can relate to it a lot, and it's my favourite in the show. Belle is one of my dream roles and favourite Disney Princess BY FAR...Beauty and the Beast was the first film I saw, the first WEST END show I saw AND the first Musical Theatre album I remember EVER listening to, which made me interested in the whole genre for a start.

I sound like a total fangirl but... I've seen two UK Tours as well as The West End production with John Barrowman as The Beast. I have a Belle doll (still unopened) I spent YEARS looking for a T Shirt which I bought in Florida I think.... and I STILL am looking for the blue village girl dress! (if anyone knows where I can buy one...PLEASE message me!)

It was heartbreaking hearing a local amateur dramatics society securing the rights.The show is in September which is when I'm in London....in other words I couldn't audition for Belle!I've dreamt of playing her for years after seeing so many videos on youtube of American theatre groups doing the production and listening to the London OCR on repeat. I just hope one day I DO have that chance...

My favourite interpretation is by my lovely pen pal Natalie Hawkins who was born to play Belle - she beat me to the role Stateside!

You will not reach her vocally, however, this is a nice version of the song. Keep on singing!

@MarikaVisser Don't listen to SteamFanHannover - 'not reaching her vocally' is bullshit. You hit all the notes that Natalie does with possibly even more quality in your voice. The difference between this performance and hers is emotion - you just need to work on building the song up to a climax and putting emphasis on certain words. You certainly have a lot of potential and definitely a beautiful voice!

u can find the dress at ebay i was belle for my middle school plays and am trying out for beauty and the beast AGAIN for my high school musical this year and thts where i got my dress and she makes them in diffrent sizes depending upon where u buy
