@joeygonzo it screams from tool vibration. the finger for the fine cuts is long and narrow.
To the poster: grind the tool leaving more material on the right side of the tool and relieve it so that it just clears the finest detail you want to cut. the tool will stay sharp longer as well.
Very impressive, and I would guess very expensive. What a great tool to have for accurate, repetitive cuts. I can't imagine turning enough precision spindles to build a stair rail on my manual lathe.
you're going to ruin your cuttIng tool pretty fast if you cut so deep in one pass…

Shorten that tool a little and it won't squeal so much. Or, make it thicker. Otherwise, very nice machine.
