First part of my complete speedrun on Pushover. It's a puzzle game, released on Amiga and Super NES. I did this speedrun on a real SNES (not on emulator), and with an european version (PAL, 50 Hz). Please notice that, cos the times can be very different ! I don't exactly know the difference between PAL and NTSC, but I know it between real SNES and emu (check my other Pushover playlist to compare) ! So, all my times are based on this version. The chrono begins when I press Start to launch the first level, and stops when the door of last level closes.
This speedrun was realised in October 2008. It was my third attempt, after a first try in August 2004 (around 1h26mn), and a second try... 24 hours before the last one (1h20mn47s) ! ^^ As I'm limited to 10 minutes per vid, I had to cut the run, but be sure it's a run in one go ! I uploaded the non-cut vid on my FTP, the link is on playlist's description. ;-)
Although I found some new strats since this speedrun, I don't have a big room of improvement. 1h16mn seems the max for me, and 1h15mn can only be reachable if I find some new strats ! I think I'll go for a 1h16mn in the future, but not before 2011... ;-)
OK, now let's talk about the speedrun itself. For a total of 100 levels, 85 of them are done in the same time or only 1 second slower than my current record. 8 are 2-3 seconds slower, and 5 are between 4 and 6 seconds slower. I really failed 2 levels, where I lost 10 seconds : 1 where I had to retry, and 1 where I was going in a wrong way !
There's a few reasons I didn't make the best time for a level : a few tenths to remember which actions I have to make, mistakes during the moves... It's also possible I did a slower time although the level seems perfect : it can be simply cos I use a different strat ; either a little less tight or an old one, before I find better later.
Here is my times for each of the 22 levels ; when I don't precise my current best, it's simply cos I tied it on this speedrun.

Level 6 is the only one I missed on these 22 first levels. I really don't know what I did here : firstly I miss the ladder at the beginning, but after, to join the exit, I decided to jump instead of taking the second ladder ! :-O Sometimes it can be faster to jump, but not here, the distance was longer... Well, except that, nothing special ; some minor mistakes or instants of thought to remember what I have to do. I'll just add something about level 20 : you can see Giant (our character) raise the fist, costing me 1 second. He always does that to celebrate a level cleared, but you can skip that if you don't stop moving until you pass the door. Unfortunately, the door wasn't completely opened when I wanted to exit, so it costs me this scene.
thumbs up if you want a sequel to this game!
