The annual "Planes of Fame" air show at Chino Airport in Chino, CA took place this year on a beautiful Sunday afternoon with historic aircraft from WW2 through today! Featured in the vid are the 27 aircraft that flew the "Airpower Flight", and second, the powerful F-15E Strike Eagle piloted by Major Mike Maeder! (as seen at 1:58)

Footage was taken on both Saturday, May 14th and Sunday, May 15th, 2011.

  • Wow Sean , I love these airshows ! =D This footage is so cool ! Really powerful planes and a joy to watch. Looks like you had a perfect day for it too . :)

Thanks so much for posting my friend !

  • @JazzyL8888 Thank you for watching my friend!! It was an absolutely perfect day! You probably couldn't tell from the skies in the vid, but we had some rain in the morning. Cleared out just in time to reveal clear skies for the show! :)

  • Oh cool! I always went to the Miramar Airshow...been to others in NY...I'll be going once again to the Geneseo Airshow this year...a WW II Museum and Airshow.

woa, strong winds that day. Very cool formations! and the star of the show...I dig it!

Miramar has a twilight show...very cool, Seen the F-14 afterburners all lit up at night!

  • @Tstormer Thanks Pat! I just saw a few vids of the Geneseo show a little while ago! ...And I don't know how I could have missed out on the SD centennial show! Just watched some videos and it looked amazing...I hear it was the largest flyby since WW2!

I think I need to start looking into going to more of these shows now. Thanks for the insight!

  • @CaStormChaser Good, yes...It was cool huh. Yes! Well worth it..I been to many. Ever been to Miramar?

Once we went out on Family day on the USS Connie..it was very cool! Had fly overs at sea! And they let us on deck! As the FA-18's launched...screaming loud!! I have vid on 8mil...want to convert it someday. I have a fam history of Navy and had a good Navy friend in SD..been to the bases many a times. But never the SUB base.

  • @Tstormer No way! I imagine there are probably fewer altitude and speed restrictions while out at sea.

Closest I've come to a show on deck was at the USS midway (no show, just looks). And it's always a treat to have a carrier pass by when we're headed out fishing down at the Coronados!

I've never been to Miramar, but I definitely need to plan for the next one! :)

  • @CaStormChaser Yes way!! I was up at the Air Boss too! It was once in a lifetime event. 100 miles out, no Sonic booms though. That Midway is in Perm mooring as a Museum in SD. I never been to the islands, those or the others. Its def worth the drive down..and check out the Twilight show! Oh dude..the Great Wall Of Fire Finale! I'll send ya the link in a mesg of it..vid is not mine.

  • Incredible sights and sounds. Spectaculaire!

  • @NDWVP Thanks for the fantastic comment Nathan! I was hoping I would be able to keep up with all the aircraft in the show and try something new at my channel...So glad you enjoyed, and thanks so much for everything man!

  • Man I missed the Centennial kick off in San Diego...huge fly over...have you seen the videos? Over 200 aircraft participated...manI miss so much in SoCal!
