  • I drive a Blade Electron every day and love it. I never run out of charge, the aircon keeps it cool in summer and it happily carries four adults. Sure, it's a basic small car but it's comfortable and direct action against CO2 emissions. Yes, I have solar power too for added low emissions. No, I'm not a Green.

  • Ah, no need for electic car, we'll find another source.

And all the extra coal we'll need for charging electric cars, it's quite ugly to.

    I'll stick with my V8

  • We need a multiplicity of sources. Even the car itself can generate it's own electricity from inbuilt solar panels and multi-dynamos generating electricity from the wheels in motion aswell as plugin recharge and instant battery replacement as standard of excellence.

  • Considering the fact that solar companies are selling units without a battery system for legal reasons to protect electricians working on the grid. How do you recharge your car from solar overnight ? you can't Solar is 12/7 not 24/7. Geothermal is the ONLY green clean sustainable energy capable of supplying baseload electricity demands.

  • @ghostjaguar Correct. All our politicians are bribed by the Oil companies to put road blocks in the path of the emergence of the electric car. Once people transition to the electric cars the days of visiting petrol stations are over (except to inflate the tyres). So we can see why oil companies want to delay the fully electric car in Australia.

It is now 2011 and yet we don't have fully electric cars in Australia. Something is amiss!
