I was there, I was there!!!! Nosebleed seats and too loud to tell one song from the other. Or I was too high!! Robert Plant you were my first!!!! -3

this is confusing to me... I have an audience bootleg from Landover 77, and the version of this song is MUCH better (probably the best i've heard them play it) with Plant and Page doing a bit of "You Shook Me" at the end before the "Oh won't you make it my dyin'.... dyin'.... dyin' be----ed"

@ledhedful THANK YOU! you couldn't have said it any better! tight but loose!!! P.

who gives a shit!!! Zep rocks no matter what. I'll take them on a bad night compared to any of the shit out now. Jimmy had problems with smack on this tour and he still played over 70 cities and 3 1/2hr shows! They just did their thing, and didn't give a shit! Rock with balls, livin on the edge! It wasn't about sounding like the album. If you want to see the album note for note exactly like the album, just turn it up real loud in your living room. Playing live should be about feeling!

Brings back memories of the cloudy past. Saw Zeppelin the opening night of this 4 show gig on the 25th. It was my third concert and it ruined me for life. Never did I witness anything that great musically since. Lost two of my concert going companions 8 years almost to the date. Here's to thinking about both of ya, Rest in peace............Oh Lord, deliver me. All the wrong I've done. You can deliver me, Lord. I only wanted to have some fun...........................

@Bonzosbadgeholder , I have every show from the 75' US tour, trust me, Bonham's playing was great throughout! He was awesome during The Song Remains The Same on this tour, as he was on the other songs!

@Bonzosbadgeholder , You didn't hear the show from 3/4/75. The Dallas show you prbably heard was from the night after 3/5/75.
Bonham's playing in 75' was awesome, granted, not better than the U.S. 77' tour. On that tour Bonham's playing was impecable!

@amstell13 Just went back and listened to Dallas and I stand by what I said....boring. You also proved my point that Plant sounds bad on this song compared to studio. I would guess he had the surgery after the new songs on PG already recorded. His oh my jesus at the end is horrible. I do think Bonzo had a good show that night but I play the drums and I can tell you 75 was his worst tour. Go back and watch Earls Court on the DVD. He is definitely taking downers or something cause he is boring.

@Bonzosbadgeholder < BTW, Plant had throat problems after the 73' US tour. He even had minor throat surgery during the year of 74', which had to do with the way Plant sang the rest of his career with Led Zeppelin.
I think the version at Earls Court surpassed the studio version

I agree with the person who seems to prefer Bonzo's drumming on the '77 tour (although '75 kicks ass too). But I would add that for all the injuries and handicaps and addictions, etc., we're dealing with 4 very serious musicians who were TOTALLY DEDICATED to changing and moving forward ("ever onward" was their motto). So, sometimes when you hear them trying out a certain style that's different than you like, you have to give them benefit of the doubt sometimes. They were trying to GROW.
