i remember watching this over 15 years ago. Yet i dont remeber what the hell it was about.

A guy is captured and tested on by the government in order to recreate a supersoldier that died years ago, the test subject goes absolutely insane drunk with power, thinks he's a god, eventually the power overwhelms him and the original supersoldier comes back at the last second to hit a reset button on the city, saving the city, but killing himself and the new supersoldier at the same time.

The "Power" of the supersoldiers is telekinesis, by the way.

@Degalon Um, your a little off. Akira wasn't a super soldier, he was a mere child that was tested on in order to understand the power of the universe. Things turned for the worse when Akira accidentally activated his power... Making a big bang, and starting World War III. And that's just the anime, the books go WAY more in depth.
