can I pass PDF books from my computer ti my archos and with which app can I view them??

Can this device be rooted(the android version of jailbreak)? Apparently Google endorses this so I do not find this a bad thing. Also would this add the marketplace to the device? I'm thinking about getting this and I am not familiar with android however would like to do all the cool things it can do.

@XBCLeverything I just returned the 43, total garbage in every way compared to the 32, unfortunately the 32 is too small
