  • @Unclemoparman, Halak, a proven playoff miracle worker? Yes, he's a very good goaltender but a 'proven playoff miracle worker'? In return, the Habs got Eller and Schultz, a tough kid who can mix it up. No one has been Sam Pollock in the NHL since Mr. Pollock left the Habs in 1978.

  • @Habsfan0206 Ridiculous. A proven playoff miracle worker NHL goalie for a totally unproven rookie with 4 goals in 2010-11. Sam Pollock you ain't.

  • @Unclemoparman, Eller is a rookie so let's give him a break. He was playing on the fourth line with a variety of different linemates. Shameful? What has Halak done with St. Louis this year? Price is the real deal.

  • @Habsfan0206 same for Halak. What did they get for him? Did Eller contribute? A joke. Halak performed a miracle with virtually no help and brought the first playoff run since 1993, knocking off the 2 best teams in the league including the champs. A shameful episode. I can honestly say.

  • @Unclemoparman, the team has improved in terms of points accumulated and we can honestly say, that we have a true #1 goaltender in Price. When the man is on his game, he's tough to beat!

  • @mxmaz right on. Nice way to reward the only guy in the last 15-20 years to make us believe. Last year was so much fun. Tragically shabby treatment, disgusting. They gave him away. Did it improve the team? Still the same boring 'nothing' hockey.

  • @midgetbeast31, at first, like many other Habs fans, I was hugely disappointed about Halak's departure. However, when you look at Price, he's a big guy who takes a lot of space and whose lateral movement across the crease is excellent. So yeah, I'm happy he's still with us. However, I do believe the Habs should have gotten more e.g. Perron straight up for Halak!

  • i bet people in montreal are happy price stayed now....

  • @mxmaz, good point!! It's a catch 22 situation for Price! He certainly won't come back after his 2-year contract is over.

  • @Habsfan0206 I said at the end of the season that if they traded a goalie it better be Price. The reason is because the fans patience had already ran out on Price(which is sad, but it is what it is), and they were booing him last year. It was obvious to me that if they trade Halak who had just performed miracles, Price would be booed any time he struggled and it would be impossible for him to succeed in that environment. Sucks but that process has already started in his first game back!
