  • amazing steel work behind incredible vocal performace

  • Goldie Hill married country music superstar Carl Smith and she gave up her career to make a home for them and their children.

  • def a voice that should of been played more! what happened to her? did she just stop singing.. DIED young? love her voice...

  • I would like to know if anyone out there remembers or knows about Mildred "Millie" Rodgers, she was a country western performer in the 1920's and 1930's. I cannot find any music or who she sang with. I do know she acted in some westerns in the 1930's. "The Texas Rambler" was one of them. If you know where I could listen to her singing, please let me know. She was my grandmother on my fathers side of the family and I never met her. Thanks.

  • Some of these women were talented and able singers....sometimes it is just a matter of timing, sometimes promotion or management. It is a tough business, many women singers (at least several of the ones I have known) do it because they love it. If your doing it just for the money, your probably in the wrong line of work.

  • Have heard of most of them & Goldie is one my favorites!! Thank you!!!

  • I remember Her from the 50's. I allways thought She could have dun better. I think manegent had a lot to do with it. "Lights On You."
