Even though we at ek433 are avid Emirates fans, it does make us proud that the country that we reside in has an airline that is so small and yet can take out a top award like this. Good on you and hopefully Emirates can be up there with you one day. Congratulations.

yea best thing about AIR NEW ZEALAND is that koru on every tail. in other words theres a tale on the tail. but i just love that feeling when onboard an AirNZ aircraft, the feeling of more less a home away from home. well done Air New Zealand. big ups, you do your country proud

I've flown Air NZ internationally for 34 years - tried a few others but Air NZ they is by far the best! There's nothing like seeing that koru on the tail when you are halfway across the world from home.

I have to agree, in regards to the domestic service which isn't that great. But I presume their long-haul services are better?

On a Flight back from Frankfurt I watched an Air NZ Cabin Crew member give up her own meal to a passenger because the passenger forgot to order the Dairy Free option.

I agree though, this would have been even better if they had some Joe Blogg and John Smiths in the video. Cant just all be celebrity endorcements.

sorry, but air nz is like a flash version of a budget airline. I fly them so often and the experience is always average..... air nz up against thai airways, singapore, emirates? come on doesnt make sense

Like most awards ceremonies for ANYTHING, they probably were given prior notice to prepare to receive the award. Something like this especially, you'd be given prior notice so you can prepare your responses properly. Good on ya Air NZ
