More and more men are having cosmetic surgery. Lower eyelid surgery is one of the most popular procedures done. Removing fat and replacing it helps to take away that tired look. As we age we loose the volume (fat) in our faces and that loss of volume is usually seen first along the lower rim of the eyelid causing a tired look.

  • Again, very nice job pumping up the cheekbones and the tear troughs below the eyes.

But what about the hollowness above the eyes?

Look at a young person's eyes. The area below the brow is full and filled in. To me, that area is as important to a truly youthful face as any other area. That upper tarcal crease needs to be pushed down to the eye itself.

  • Again you are correct that hollowing does occur above the eyes as well as other areas. Volume loss is one component of aging that in years past has not been adequately addressed. In our patient population, we find that fat transfer is the most reliable and predictable procedure. If you have any other further questions I would encourage you to speak to our Patient Care Coordinator, Mary Ann Hunziker, in our facility at 800-742-2797. Thank you again for your interest and comments.

  • FANTASTIC! He literally looks 10 years younger

  • excellent!

  • Great job!! I have the same problem my is on right side lower part only one eye so how much it cost me?

  • @WilliamsCenter hi doc. thats a very interesting procedure, im considering it to fix a depression on my cheek caused by an acne scar, there is a pretty obvious volume loss, so i think doing a subsicion followed by fat grafting would be a good idea I guess, are doing subsicion in your clinic?

  • I am similar too. I got a blepharoplasty (which is what they mainly did to him); watching the surgery appears to be horrendous but it is worth to do it as the hated eyebags completely dissapeared. As per the injections, it is much better to use your own fat so that your body will not reject it. In any case facelifts or plastic surgeries which do not involve an operation have non lasting effects and you will have to do it over an over again. Good luck!

  • Good results. It seems pricey though. I haven't heard of this. I have heard of injectibles, other than our own fat, to be used on the lower eyes. It was recommended for me actually, but it cost less. I've also considered surgery and it was a little less than this as well. One doctor told me to use the mixto laser! I think the surgery or injectibles would be best. They didn't suggest my own body fat to inject. Good results though, I am similar to this patient and would love those results.

  • Very nice result. He still looks like a man.
