Quoting yourself " What a bunch of crap"
Yamaha is NOT a Toyota subsidiary
Toyota owns 5% of Yamaha, and Yamaha owns a million shares of Toyota

Car was designed by the late Satoru Nozaki. The last quote I had of late is somewhere north of 450,000 in terms of value. (Granted this is a pristine museum quality piece.)

Damn I love to see some do a resto mod with one of those.
Take one thats in need of restoration, Put a 2JZ engine it in with all the modren goods like how they do with them old Corvettes.
That would be awesome.

Toyota said they want to make a proper sport car again after die for quite a long time.
What a bunch of crap! Search a little bit before writing all that nonsense! Toyota made about 300 2000GT's. They sold 60 in the US and they were also sold in Europe. A Portuguese guy sold one last year in an auction for about 150000$. And that rumour about the car being an Albrecht Goertz design for Nissan is false. The car was designed by Jiro Kawano, Toyota's racing director. Yamaha only took part in the engine design as it does in all Toyota's sport car engines. Yamaha is a Toyota subsidiary

I saw my first Toyota 2000GT in 1967. It was parked at a restaurant in L.A. I was 16 years old, and I never forgot the thrill of that car, to this day. Beyond Classic.
