  • As quakity says, "Swinburne Stomp" is a reading & sound interpretaion of the poem "Before the Beginning of Years" by A.C. Swinburne (1837-1909). Info:

the poet = search wikipedia for 'swinburne'

the lyrics = search plainfeather.blogspot.xxx for 'swinburne stomp'

@quakity --- You had stellar development years if singing Fugs songs at 15 years old! Jealous I am.

Thanks for posting, oppositecar. Sad social commentary only 750 views after 10 months. Track #10 "Nothing" suddenly rings true.

  • This album was originally called "Broadside", I think. In any case, my friend Bob and I would chant Swinburne's "Before the Beginning of Years" ala Fugs on the way to high school for most of our sophomore year. I got interested in poets and poetry because of this strange performance. Thanx for the post!
