Fantasy swordfighting film - City of swords

/Oh dear, damn youtube disabled the audiotrack. It isn't half as cool without audio, since the music is synchronized with the sword strikes and all. I'll see what I can do to upload the film somewhere else -with- audio.

A short swordfighting film made by 2 friends and me september '03.

Filmed in 2 days, 5 hours per day. Post-production 20-30 hours. The swords used in this film are bokken, japanese wooden swords, which were also used in Last Samurai.

We used several filters to make it look more like professional movies. Language is german but that doesn't matter since there is almost no dialogue. It's all about action. Hope you like it. The evil guy is me.

They don't really know what's the handle and the blade. If it was a real Katana, they would have found all their fingers on the ground...

The swords are supposed to be wooden. The whole fight/choreography is based on wooden swords. We fight with metal swords at home, though.

And if you think wooden swords/bokken are not cool just watch Last Samurai.
