for how long? a year, 2 years?
if you watched the show when he was first on, they showed you a picture of the plaque build-up inside his heart. all because of his diet.
i've been a vegan for a year (vegetarian for 3 years before that) and i have never been healthier.
i never get sick with colds, my skin looks amazing, i've lost weight, i sleep better and i have more energy than i've ever had.

@angiecat33 thats brilliant!!!!
My father nearly died - had a heart attack (leading killer in the usa), horrible bypass surgery (look up videos) at age 42. He was thin and fit too - even was in the military and walked miles a day as a mailman. Cholesterol from animal products are bad for us and of course the animals - meatvideo dotcom. MadCowboy dotcom is also a former rancher now veg, he was on Oprah. American Heart Association, many drs and dieticians support veganism. Thanks for the upload, original show video was deleted

@HelpStopAnimalAbuses Thanks, I didn't realize they removed the video from Dr. Oz site. Most people think you need to be obese to have a heart attack, but nothing could be farther from the truth. I have posted Mad Cowboy here - /watch?v=piZmH4gzyqs
If you haven't seen *Food That Kills* is excellent to help educate others and I have also posted a link on my main page to the new documentary *Forks Over Knives* I wish I could get the world to listen.

I've been vegan for 16 years and whenever someone goes vegan there's one thing that stands out more than most... Their self-discipline. This cowboy would never have been able to complete this diet without it.

@OzVegan I agree that at first it is all about self discipline and of course understanding the health impact. Like any "bad habit" - once addicted, it's the discipline that gets us through it. Once you adjust your headset and lifestyle I believe it's a natural. I imagine when told you will die unless you change your diet, well, that's got to be a great incentive. It's just too bad people leave it that long. I personally don't miss animal products and wish I knew all this many years ago.

I have been vegetarian for over 2 years. Within the first month I lost 10 pounds and that with just cutting out meat.
I went from a size 20 pants to a size 7 and I'm slowly melting off more pounds everyday. I never want 2 go back 2 where I was b4

@Gahuki44 That is VERY impressive and I salute you ! People need to see the facts and more important the "truth" about what we consume. I am now vegan, because if you haven't researched this yet, you may want to.... dairy = cancer... big time. I was the biggest addict ever - but now, I treat it like toxic waste. Please watch my main page video 'Milk - The Deadly Poison" and read some links in vid description. I never thought I'd be telling people to NOT drink milk, but hey, here I am.
