  • He scratches and scrapes and doesn't stay on key. Full speed ahead, and damn the intonation!

  • Simply amazing...but is it just me or does this sound exactly like a combination between a movie score and Tom and Jerry style music? I don't mean anything negative here, that is also very great and highly expressive music....but it just sounds so much like that kind of music.

  • INSANE!!!!!!!

  • @assindiastignani Not Freddie- the Mauch twins. P&P is represented on U-Tube.

  • @44032 Right! That's a fim we always forget. With Freddie Bartholomew as Edward V, Errol Flynn as Miles What's-his-Name and Alan Hale as The Bad Guy. Great score. There are some wonderful Orchestral Suites from "Captain Blood," Robin Hood," and "Sea Hawk." I'll have to check if there's also one for "P & P."

  • @assindiastignani Also from "The Prince and the Pauper", which provides the main theme for the third movement.

  • Korngold took much of the music for the violin concerto from his film score of "Robin Hood" (with Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland). The slow mvt. is the love scene on the balcony with Robin and Lady Marian.

  • Scary stuff--the devil on his shoulder.

Why does anyone even TRY to play this after hearing Heifetz?

To say he owns this is too tame. He IS this!

  • Les notes dansent,la diction est claire,le discours est fluide :De l'eau vive!
