@uranus2001 Thanks. I deliberately strayed away from the grade 8 version in a few notes as there are several versions of this piece.
I'm certainly looking forward to hearing you playing this. You have a remarkable talent - certainly at 10. I'm sure you will do very well in your grade 8 exam.

Stunning work/play. Gershwin such a treasure trove of harmonies that came out of that guys head. Or he was the best adaptive thief in the world. (Hindemith, Ravel) No matter your playing is something to aspire to.

My knowledge of musical history is not nearly as good as it should be so I had to do a bit of background reserch using Wiki lol - but there were some quotes I remember now, such as Ravel's quote 'Why be a second rate Ravel when you can be a first rate Gershwin' or something like that. I also used to listen to a lot of Ravels music as a teenager. Sometime I'll get to listen to more Hindemith as well.
