Maureen Foster took a trip to South Africa to see the work being done by her distant cousins, both nuns in the Sisters of the Assumption Order. Seeing the devastation wrought by the AIDS epidemic and the hard work performed by the aging nuns, Maureen decided to do whatever it was she could to help. Out of this transformative experience was born "Race for Relief", a fundraising event scheduled for March 1, 2008 at Hawthorne Racetrack in Cicero, IL. This short documentary tells her story, that of the sisters and all those in South Africa suffering from the AIDS epidemic.
