After the red dust storms that hit Sydney 23 and 26 September 2009, came gale force winds again from the west. No dust this time,
Perhaps there wasnt any left (!), but the winds howled as winds gusts reached over 100 kph for almost 2 days, threatening to bring trees down, like this video shows taken in August 2003 at Stanwell Tops, New South Wales, Australia. We may not have volcanoes, cyclones, hurricanes, earthquakes or tsunamis but we sure cop everything else!

  • Well, who thought the tree would drop, and being a disastrous day in a slightly isolated area, trees that fall, do so when they want without too much notification!
