  • the greatest of all time.respect

  • also thanks to Nelson Burton Jr... He also had the great voice of bowling.. Im 44 now, I was 13 then.. Life was so great then... All these guys made it so special.. It will never be the same again. RIP Earl.. Roth, Recove quick..Miss all of this.. wish we could turn back time....

  • Is that , no its not...almost sounded like Howard Cosell..Gee I miss him... PS Anthony got very lucky lol

  • @BIGGREENLEAF1 There are many players that do not adjust from their normal game....and unfortunately, Pete Weber has been doing the same thing....only opting to use the big hook which does not work all the time. I know he can play straighter and more outside because it has won him tournaments in the past but now only opts to use the hook so that is why he is lost on TV. WRW jr and Norm Duke are more versatile and can adjust and so does CB so that is why they are more consistent now days.

  • @IveGotYourChange The thing about Daugherty needs to also be said about Wes Malott and a lot of todays bowlers as well even the league bowlers. Why dosen't Malott bowl the plastic ball tournament...??? The same reason, he only knows one angle and shot to the pocket that inside line that seems to be so popular today. I very well know what the game has become today as well as I own several tenpin centers in MN and my newest center in MA is candlepins, some can be seen on my channel.

  • @BIGGREENLEAF1 You didn't miss much. They trashed Bo as they only gave him a couple of seconds of air time. I thought he was going to do most of the announcing but it went to Stone again. At least Bo was very cheerful. Only excitement was seeing Daugherty shoot a 100 on TV. That is what you get when you can only throw one shot and not adjust. I bowled the Greater LA open in 1992 and Town Square Lanes that same year. Made a cut but did not cash but at least I had fun bowling with the best.

  • @IveGotYourChange I know that about the hambone as I was a PBA member from 1991 thru 2004. I remember being a little upset if I had missed a telecast on ABC years ago but today I could care less if I see the finals on ESPN or not, I can think of a lot better things to do on a Sunday afternoon than watching Rob Stone make an ass of himself. I also didn't get a chance to see the T of C on ABC a couple of weeks ago and have yet to see it uploaded on youtube and not to hurried to find it anyway...

  • @BIGGREENLEAF1 Hambone was the term made by the current idiot announcer Rob Stone who screams like a wrestling announcer for the WWE. He is also very stupid and uneducated, especially making fun of foreign bowlers and their accents etc. Bo Burton, Marshall Holman, Denny Schreiner, Jay Randolph, and Mike Durbin made much better announcers and not clowns. Randy is ok at times but still tries to be a comedian out there. Yes, the PBA has really lost it. Using criminal rappers to promote is absurd!

  • @IveGotYourChange 100% AGREED, you nailed it right on the head... Also with todays show they also try to change the name of terms used for years and a four-bagger is a four-bagger not a freakin "Hambone"...

  • Classic heavyweight match when the PBA was prestigious, had respect, and the trophies were nice. Today, they are using escaped convicts to get ratings! Nice!
