It's amazing that the world has become so politically correct that a movie has to be bashed because you don't like that it focuses on the story of a white family. Geesh. What you are doing is called reverse racism. There is nothing inherently wrong about telling this particular story. I'm sure they film makers didn't intentionally choose a "white" family b/c they were racist. How pathetic we have become.

The tsunami hit the coast where a lot of tourists from around the world were at the time. I know of people who died and lost loved ones and I don't live in Southeast Asia. The top comments are ignorant and inappropriate. A tragedy is always a tragedy for the people who suffered it and the people who were affected by it. This tragedy was international in character because so many people from all over the world were affected.
