Damon had a slow puncture. This was detailed in the following race pre show that itv ran. He even brought the rim in to show them that the wheel was about to fail.

Some people would do well to remember that the only reason Ralf Schumacher caught up with Damon was because of the safety car that came out. He had been nowhere near him in the race up until that point.

Two Drivers Fighting for the lead IN THOSE CONDITIONS wasn't worth it just like Damon said. They were more likely to crash into each other.
This win meant too much to Jordan Grand Prix Finacially as well as their History to allow it to be swept away by the ambition of a younger driver who will and did get another chance
In this case Team Orders makes perfect sense just as it did at Silverstone this year between the Red Bulls. Its Ferrari that abuse it
