"...hehehe... miracle." <- My favorite part.

@TXatheist 1000% Agreed! If or if not AGW is occurring we need to move towards more sustainable methods in our daily lives. Personally I have been constructing homemade photovoltaic panels and two 4' diameter wind turbines, I have had an excellent return with my wind turbines, I live in OK. and the wind blows strong and often. Photovoltaics are good in my area too but the cost is still pretty high for their output.

@perseverance8 Yes, there were times when co2 in ice cores were higher and generally it was because of a massive natural disaster like a volcano eruption. However, minus those spikes the trend of c02 concentration is going up and that is the problem.
-
@perseverance8 And the flip side of the big oil money making scheme is called "doubt". They used the exact same tactics when executives told people cigarettes weren't harmful.
-
@perseverance8 No, just as you close yourself in a garage and suffer from gas buildup our planet does the same. The planet is not greening, it's warming.

Personally I feel even if AGW is happening, the Peak Oil/Peak Resources dynamic is a MUCH greater threat than AGW to human existence and will likely, in my opinion definitely will end the debate in and of itself, as CO2 (carbon) based fuel/energy sources will decline precipitously.

@TXatheist There is a clear difference between shutting yourself in a garage with a running car than the emissions from vehicles. For one the scale is much exaggerated under such conditions (Garage), you also arent taking into account the increase in algae and other 'greening' that occurs under increases in CO2 gasses, as historically speaking data shows an increase of around 1/3 increase in greening of the planet in the last 30 to 40 years.

@TXatheist The 'MMGW' money making scheme will doubtfully benefit the masses and many in the environmentalist movement doubt the effectiveness of currently touted schemes will even have a real effect on reducing CO2 gasses but will greatly benefit the Banking Oligarchs. I guess they'll see a simulative effect from unnecessary shifting of funds.

@TXatheist I have researched many avenues and have found large amounts of conflicting information (From Legitimate Sources) regarding an apparent rise in CO2 gasses over only the last 100 years, I feel this assertion is very well touted while at the same time there are many times historically speaking of periods that show dramatically higher levels of CO2 than we see today.
I will openly state that I am quite skeptical of the current AGW movement(s), they appear to have taken on a hyper politicized ideology, at the same time I STRONGLY advocate making great efforts to use less resources and move towards a sustainable way of life but this is has little to do with AGW.

@perseverance8 I agree with you that conservatives should actually conserve energy use.
