This particular video was definitely the catch of the day. I initially heard an oncoming train from the West (on Main #2), which turned out to be a BNSF Intermodal being led by BNSF 106 (GP60M). After about one minutes of this train passing my observation point, I hear another horn from the west. This turned out to be an eastbound rock train led by UP 1999 (GP60). What made this train so great, was that it had NS 8910 (C40-9W) and UP 1900 (GP60, ex-Rio Grande, with UP patch). I observed both of these engines the day before on a northbound manifest on the UP Duncan Sub. This video was shot in downtown Arlington on the UP Dallas Sub, at the Center St crossing.

  • Cool enough, a GP60M in "War" paint but then to see the Bloody Nose again AND a DRGW "bandit" go by: Fucking awesome! Anybody who has to ask a "railhead" why we love trains will just never know.

  • Amen :-)

  • Do you know who own track UP or BNsf Or share ?

  • The tracks that run through downtown Arlington is the double main of the UP Dallas Sub. BNSF does have trackage rights on the UP Dallas Sub, as does UP have trackage rights on the BNSF subs that I also watch in Fort Worth and Saginaw, Texas.

  • Nice Video, I like that you showed the whole length of the trains.

  • When I shoot my videos, I like to think that others would like to see the entire train, since they can't be there at the time I take the video. Thanks for the comment.
