@omsivoham All US intervention in SE Asia during the cold war was a brave but failed attempt to prevent communist, i.e. totalitarian takeover of countries in the region. You talk of bombing against vietcong guerrila bases there. Well, however many were killed it was NOTHING compared to the 2 to 3 million murders later committed by the Khmer Rouge régime. Vietnam is still a one-party state today which permits no criticism; US policy aimed, to prevent this sad outcome from happening.
