Andy Timmons has one of the most beautiful rock guitar playing I've heard.

@loboyd23 he would be in that category. a category in which the occupants would never say "I'm better than him or her"... a category in which all the occupants will smile and say "yeap, he's an amazing, amazing guitar player" and they will all mean that. so, yes I agree, and no I don't agree at the same time. but I love Gilbert and his incredibly amazingly long pinkie finger as well :))

isn't it nice to be that good, I mean THAT GOOD, that you are no longer threatened by any other artist in your field? I've seen Satch, with Timmons on stage, just watching Timmons and enjoying his talent without even feeling the slightest tension or pressure to raise, or race him. Just like Vai here, nothing but pure pleasure and respect for another artist's talent. Because nobody can touch Vai, or Satriani anymore. And to be able to see that in these people's humble attitudes is just amazing.
