  • Thanks for the great Videos, I'm getting into bee keeping next year and your videos are a great help.

  • Thanks! My buddy Jim has 2 hives now. We'll have to see how they do after winter ends....

  • Update for everyone. Poor old sparky had to go to doggy Heavan. His hips / back legs gave out on him. It was sad, but he lives on in the bee trilogy. Fairwell old timer... You were a good dog.

  • QUESITON: i see uncapping knifes and combs (the one you used) in different videos... under what conditions do you use a knife or a comb?

  • Combs work best if it's nice and warm out ( 80 degrees F , or so ). You just break the caps off, and spin out the honey.

  • Great vids I saw all 3. How much does it cost to start beekeeping for materials?

  • You, know, I'm not sure, as my bud Jim did all the work. I don't think it was more than a few hundred bucks for the bees, hive, and protective clothing....

  • can you tell me in part 1 what did you spray on the bees to feed them and where you get the hive and the stemer and the bee suit and how do you know when you can harvest the honey and put on the 2st and the 3rd pease of the hive and can you tell me how you exstrater because i what to become a bee keeper but i dont know how to do it so can you show me how to do it

  • great vid!. How long did it took to produce all that honey? keep us informed of this year season. good luck Jim!!

  • hmmm, you wouldn't want to disturb the bees in winter. They can't take the cold. If you messed with them in winter, I'm not sure how they'd react, and I wouldn't try it.
