@aselmac You realize it's the same director, right? And this director happens to be Michael Haneke. This isn't a case of a Hollywood studio grabbing hold of a foreign hit and redoing it for crass commercial purposes. Both films were initiated and devised by the same person.

Wow. So they actually 100% remade that movie using US actors because why? Are US citizens supposed to be freaked out by foreign actors? By dubbing? By reading subtitles?

@Canadawaters personally I found the whole "rewind the movie" scene to be the part that completely ruins it.
How are you suppose to get immersed in a movie after that? (he didn't even press rewind ffs)

After watching von Trier films, I find a couple talking with classical music much more unnerving than a couple not talking with grindcore.
