Taking Toro from print to online involved looking closely at which categories, and also which contributors, could make the switch to the demands of a new medium. For instance, we'd always covered music in the print magazine. But the coverage was, necessarily, static (pictures and words). Online, though, things really opened up creatively. Now we could bring a band into our studio and record CD quality audio and film the performances in high-definition video. As a direct result, our video franchise Garage Band was born. There are similar examples all throughout our content line-up.
