Can't wait till the Essex starts Eastenders he's been off our screens too long. It's about time a boxset of his movies came out as well everyone is a winner
I own the Network DVD release of this movie (cat no 7952385) and to quote the sleeve "The main feature is presented in its original theatrical version (Nick dies) and this release also includes an alternative ending.(Nick wins the race)"
No, seriously, there were 2 endings. Look on IMDB for the detail.
When it was first shown on british TV I thought it was the greatest movie ever. Basically he wins the race, film over, happy days. US version.
A few years later, a late nigh repeat on TV, this time the original UK release. Same movie, waiting for the finale, wins the race, hang on, bit of a wobble, sweet mercy David Essex is dead. I cried man.
I love his movie...I was born in my dads ever winning trophy-lap.....the ending...well, it just ...well...
