In this case I just happened to turn the camera on moments before the 5:00 PM chime struck. Communities throughout Japan typically sound a chime of some sort to mark the 5:00 PM time as a way to formally conclude the work day (though in fact most workers continue to work well past this time) and to send playing school kids home to dinner.
