The Helicycle is a single-seat helicopter kit manufactured by Eagle R&D in Nampa, Idaho, that is powered by a gas-turbine engine The performance characteristics of the Helicycle are reported to be as follows:

Power plant: Solar T62-T32 gas turbine engine (160 horsepower derated to 90 horsepower), modified to reduce weight by 48 pounds and add two lubrication pumps

Pilot/cargo maximum weight: 220 pounds

Maximum gross weight: 850 pounds

Empty weight: 500 pounds

Fuel capacity: 16 U.S. gallons (additional five gallon tank available for pilots weighing 180 pounds or less)

Range with reserve: 160 statute miles

Rate of Climb: 900 feet (270 m) per minute

Hover (in ground effect): 9,500 feet (2,900 m)

Service ceiling: 11,000 feet (3,400 m) density altitude

Normal cruise with doors: 95 miles per hour

Maximum cruise airspeed: 110 miles per hour (at sea level, 29.92 inches of mercury, and 65 degrees Fahrenheit
Power/weight ratio: 7.5:1 (same as the Hughes 500)

    pretty much any standard caliber battle rifle rigged with an electric solenoid would work pretty well though.

  • @igotbored44 i was watching a program about life in the extremes last week, which included some auzzie guys who heard cattle using these tiny copters. the guys where flying insanely low and fast, swerving between tries. apparently, about ten of them die per year, which wouldn't surprise you if you'd seen what they were doing. but each heard of meatbags earns them over a million squids.
