American Idol winner Scotty McCreery takes his love for music and love baseball to the next level. Singing the national anthem at the 1st game of the 2011 World series! What an honor! He rocked it, if I do say so my self! :)
@Jtlnghrn35 Some media caused a stir and narrished the haters (of country music or the South or Scotty or whatever) who got a chance to leave their frustration by comment. But everybody in their right mind knows that Scotty stayed true to the way the NA is supposed to be. That´s what he wanted to do, and that´s what he did, And I agree with you - he is a great artist and did an excellent job... as always
We love you Scotty! Met him in Nashville this summer, he is the nicest person I ever met in my life, and so are his parents! Good job boy!! Love from Québec City, Canada xxxxxxxx.....
Wow I'm suprised how many negative comments there on on this. I think he did a great job with the song. Every artist has a style that makes them unique, and that is why he is such a great artist at such a young age. I don't think he has anything to prove to you haters. Great job!
Good voice but too much country...he doesn't sound natural at all....Ronnie Dunn did a GREAT job with his rendition. I also think it is possible Scotty DID SAY Oh say...just his accent. Stick to your studio recording Scotty and leave our national anthem alone.
That's crap. He didn't say No Jose. That would have been three syllables and you can distinctly hear just two. Plus I've heard him sing it recently at a football game. The kid knows the words. It's just Scotty haters and country music haters. At least, he didn't spit or grab his crotch or turn it into a rap or rock song.

His mic was malfunctioning at the beginning and then he replaced "Oh say" with what sounded like "No Jose", whatever that means...
