This film is another Soundie, a short film that played in a Panoram Video Jukebox in the 1940's. Many of the soundies flirted with the risque' and others were dedicated to helping the Government in its fund raising efforts in support of the millitary.

Three Little Sisters featuring the Murphy Sisters, Evelyn Carmel, Bonnie Nolan, Ruth Ownby backed by the Nat Brandywine Orchestra was filmed and released in 1942 by Soundies Distribution Corporation of America .

  • @murraymae I agree. And I wonder why they didn't get more publicity?

  • Wow the Murphy sisters got gypped royally!! They are every bit as good as the andrews sisters! And I thought I I had at least heard of all of the best singing acts of twenties thru the forties! Excellent! Too bad they were Unsung!! First rate job-and prettier than the andrews too-with as much charisma (except for patty ;} )

  • Such saucy sisters! :-)
