A "G" scale train layout at Great American Train Show, San Diego 1998. I love this layout. I've already posted a video from this same layout, at a show a few years ago. So much details and so cleverly animated. Wonderful work!

  • Tvnshack how much were these trains

  • @drumkid330 If you check with such brands as USA Trains, it's not that expensive. It's quite affordable. I bought a switcher, three cars and few tracks that day, to get us started. It's beautiful and impressive by the mass of the models.

  • hi tvnshack, i am a big fan of trains, i once had a lionel train but sold it, i find it too small, i want train as big as yours. question: where can i buy these kinds of big trains? at what price range , and also where can i buy extra rails if i want to set longer railings around my house. thanks for your reply

btw,i'm leaning more on buying a 120v operated train rather than battery operated.

  • Hello. These are not my trains (not these ones). Actually, since I've made this film I no longer live in the US. I can't help you but if you check with your local model train store they'll help you. G scale trains require big power supplies. Long rails generate voltage drops that require feed buses in parallel. G scale is awesome.

  • Awasome vid bro! I'm an old h-o man, started in the early '60's... (ouch!) Too many years "in the brush" befor I realised driving log truck was much easier have made my hands un-able to do the detail work that I use to, so maybe it's time to get a bigger train! lol! Maybe you can turn me on to a sorce of serrious G scale trains. Anything i'v found on the net have been toys. Great help if you or other readers can. Best luck in comming year to all. Peace from the Pacific N.W.

  • Hello ! Perhaps you could go to a bookstand and pick up a copy of Model RailRoader and Garden Railways (bi-montly magazine). From here you'll get everything needed to get you started. On the G and 1 scale, you can even find live steam! Train watching/modeling is a peaceful occupation. Lots of good people there ... from everywhere around the globe ;-)
