  • This brings back memories of my father. He would sing this to help me sleep he would play a guittar like yours soft and slow. Like he would always be there. He passed away 5 years back. Thank you for keeping his memory alive in my heart. :'( Love you daddy

  • @ariel20142 thank you ariel... thats about the nicest compliment anyone could get......

  • My cousin Timothy Reck died April 25, 2011. He was an amazing musician and like a brother to me. This was a song that we would always ask him to play for us. His version was a lot like yours and listening to it brought back some wonderful memories of Timmy.

All I know is that he "died free"...

  • @stefanimarie91 .. so sorry to hear about your loss stefani... i can tell he will always be in your heart

  • I like your cover. It reminds me of my army buddy. He sang this song for us in Kuwait while we waited to go to Iraq. He played on a guitar just like yours. Maybe it's the beer talking, but I heard a little bit of him in you tonight. I ain't a praying man, but he's still over there while I'm back in America. Pray for him, if you find the time.

  • @FallaciousGee i'm honored ....i will do that...god bless him and you as well

  • FUCK YEAH, TAKAMINE!

  • I love this video and I love you're voice is slow and soothing. :)

  • @nilradem

I should have added it was when Dylan was working on a movie soundtrack, not a talk show.

  • @FromHundredAcreWood

    sang, not snag. dyslexic fingers

  • @FromHundredAcreWood

Dylan wrote the tune and chorus, but never finished the song. It was on a bootleg that circulated pretty widely, and Ketch Secor of Old Crow Medicine Show wrote the lyrics and arranged it. They snag it for several years before they recorded it, and got Dylan's permission and share copyright with him.

  • Very good. I enjoyed this.
