Life Isn't Easy (Fade To Light)

Sometimes music moves through me.This song reflects a period of deep emotion that I felt at one time. I awoke one morning and the song was in my head. I had no choice but to let it out.
My aim is to make music that will lift and inspire people. Sometimes it seems to me that when we are in our darkest hour the best medicine is to forget about ourselves and do something noble for others without any thought of reward. Peace on Earth begins with peace with oneself.
The video is filmed in the living room of my mother's home using a mural as the back drop. The artist is unknown but it was painted in 1948 on basalite hollow tile bricks when the house was built.
The guitar is a Fender DG21S.

Life isn't easy with its twists and its turns
It seems there's so many things to learn
When all that is needed is a simple plan
We should all reach out and lend a helping hand

The summer had faded and it turned into fall
I began to wonder if I could go on
My heart felt so heavy like a ton of lead
And what I was thinking is better left unsaid

The tunnel was dark there was no light at the end
But I'd come to far to go back again
So I fell to my knees and I began to pray
For a way back out into the light of day

An angel of mercy descended on me
And gave me the word, said to plant a tree
I understood this just as clear as a bell
The way out of this place is to forget myself

Life isn't easy with its twists and its turns

If we could just reach out and lend a helping hand

Every life needs its dignity
And every soul is crying out to be free
But there will be no peace in the land
'til the peace resides in the hearts of men....
