  • Your tutorial is absolutely amazing.

I have been trying to figure out the edge since 87 - 88,...

You did it for me... I was jamming this right away in 10 seconds...

Just a note...... the B chord might be a minor...

The F# might also be a minor.

Check it out... I just have an ear for the major/minor chord changes throughout the notes and chords of a certain scale. I could be wrong, but check it out.

Again, thank you so much... the 441ms delay tip helped me so much too...

  • @RobertGuitarDJ:

Yes, I missed a minor in here somewhere, but I posted a correction (see other vids in the series). Also, this is an old video. Check out my more recent updated tutorial of BDay labeled "A". They are at the top of the playlist - Part A1, A2, etc. I teach the more simplified version and you can hear my voice better. I have an entirely new setup for recording now. Also the verse is easier to play in the other version.

  • thanx very much for these tutorials. just have one question or remark at this point: when playing the basic chords (or the chorus chords) you play the b-major after the a-major. but in my opinion it should be the b-minor chord. but really awesome what you do with these tutorials. tomorrow rehearsel with my band. i'll be perepared :)

  • Yes, good catch. But I don't think I was strumming down to the G string, so you won't hear the minor. But you are correct, it should be a Bm. I believe I play it correct at the end with the clean chords.

  • Help. Where's part 7 ?

  • Not done yet. I always put the reference to the next part at the end of the vid because I load the vid immediately; but it doesn't mean I have the next one started or done yet. I will try to get to it within a week or two. January is a busy month for me at work.

    Thanks for watching!

  • I used a dotted 8th note (confirmed by a few that saw Edge's TC2290 when up close to the stage). So about 331ms at a BPM of 136. I had the repeats at about 15% (so about 2 or 3 repeats). But more importantly I had the mix around 22 to 25% so its a subtle delay. Edge also had the delay volume on his TC2290 set lower than most of the other songs.

  • Whheeeeew, thought it was me!!! Ok cool, It'll be great to see it when you get it done, until then, I'll practice what you've shone so far....Awesome, and thank you again.
