Why do vloggers keep using jump cuts?

Are you getting tired of all the constant cuts and edits in Vlogs?

I agree with some extent. Overusing jumpcuts in vlogs should be a no no. There is a time and point for jumpcuts and jumpcutting with every sentence is annoying.

Some videos with too many jump cuts, I leave and don't watch them. I am sick of jump cuts. Once and a while is fine, but many go overboard.

It is okay if it happens once or twice in a video... ya know sometimes we use too much filler words and fail at speaking sometimes... but if it is like 3 times a sentence then it is annoying = =

Its mostly them cutting out them using words like um or like i think i mean thats why i woud jump cut and i agree

Videos like that are insufferable, but they get views because most people are simpletons who get bored within seconds unless you provide them with distractions like flashy lights or obnoxious jump cuts.

They only do it to hide the fact that they aren't confident enough to do it all in one cut while still retaining a witty edge to validate the "points" they make in their video.
